What is Access to Work?

Access to Work is a government grant that funds practical support so you can start, stay in, or return to work. It can cover ADHD coaching, assistive technology, support workers, travel costs, and more. The grant can be worth up to £66,000 per year.

01It is a grant, not a loan. You do not pay it back
02It will not affect any other benefits you receive
03It covers employed, self-employed, and people about to start work
04Support is reviewed every 1–3 years
05You can choose your own providers (e.g. your preferred ADHD coach)
06Your employer may need to contribute to some costs, but not coaching
