Screening Tools
Could it be ADHD or autism?
These are validated screening instruments used by the NHS. They do not diagnose. They indicate whether further assessment is worth pursuing. That is all they do, and that is enough.
ADHD Screening (ASRS-v1.1)
2 minutesThe WHO Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale, Part A. Six questions. The same screener your GP would use.
Autism Screening (AQ-10)
3 minutesThe Autism Spectrum Quotient, 10-item version. Standard NHS screening tool by Simon Baron-Cohen. Ten questions.
What these tools are
Both screeners are published, peer-reviewed instruments with established clinical validity. They are used in GP surgeries and NHS pathways across the UK. A score above the threshold does not mean you have ADHD or autism. A score below the threshold does not mean you do not. What they tell you is whether a formal assessment is worth pursuing.
Important
- These are screening tools, not diagnoses.
- Only a qualified clinician can diagnose ADHD or autism.
- If you score above the threshold, speak to your GP about a referral.
- Your data stays in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
